Biography
Hugues Claude Pissarro, known professionally as H. Claude Pissarro, is the grandson of the Impressionist painter Camille Pissarro and the son of Paulémile Pissarro. Born in Neuilly-sur-Seine, he grew up in an artistic environment and spent his childhood with paintbrushes in hand.
Trained by his father, he exhibited for the first time at the age of fourteen. H. Claude studied in Paris at prestigious institutions, including the École Normale Supérieure and under the direction of Henri Linard at the Louvre Museum. In 1963, he was invited to teach art in Monaco.

Although a teacher, he remained a prolific artist, exhibiting in Paris and London. H. Claude was an engraver, lithographer, publisher, and painter, exploring various styles, including abstraction, avant-garde, and minimalist art. He is best known for his post-impressionist works, which have been exhibited worldwide since 1985.
H. Claude Pissarro, who came from an exceptional artistic lineage, continues to mark the art world with his post-impressionist works and his exploration of different styles. He produced major works, including a portrait of President Eisenhower in 1959.
