Biography
Anna Gasteiger (born February 26, 1877 in Lübeck, Germany) is a German artist known for her flower paintings with distinctive brushstrokes and a luminous palette. Her fascination with the 17th-century Dutch masters influenced her expressive style, evident in works such as *Floral Still Life with Larkspur* and *Autumn by Lakes*.
She studied at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Munich, exhibited regularly in Munich and Dresden, and in 1902 built a house in Holzhausen am Ammersee with her husband, the sculptor Mathias Gasteiger.
