Hugues Claude Pissarro, known professionally as H. Claude Pissarro, was born in Neuilly-sur-Seine into a family of artists, the grandson of Camille Pissarro and the son of Paulémile Pissarro. From his childhood, he was immersed in an artistic environment and picked up his first paintbrushes at a very young age.


Trained by his father, he exhibited for the first time at the age of fourteen. He continued his studies in Paris at prestigious institutions, including the École Normale Supérieure, and perfected his skills under the direction of Henri Linard at the Louvre Museum. In 1963, he was invited to teach art in Monaco, while continuing his artistic career.


H. Claude Pissarro is a painter, printmaker, lithographer, and publisher. He explores various styles, from abstraction to avant-garde and minimalist art, while remaining deeply attached to Post-Impressionism. His works have been exhibited in Paris, London, and around the world since 1985. Among his major creations is a portrait of President Eisenhower painted in 1959. Coming from an exceptional artistic lineage, H. Claude Pissarro continues to influence the art world with his creativity and stylistic diversity.
