Daniel Calarco, born February 9, 1970 in Choisy-le-Roi, near Paris, is a painter whose art draws heavily on Romantic masters such as Corot, Watteau, Boudin, and Gallien-Laloue. From a young age, he explored the harmony between man and nature, as well as childhood dreams and dream symbols.

Guided by Caspar David Friedrich's advice, "Look at things first with your spiritual eye," Calarco invites the viewer to enter a magical world where nature and nostalgic memories collide. His inhabited landscapes, populated with characters and touches of color, create captivating and poetic compositions.

He became known to the general public at his opening in January 1999 at the Espace Bellini (Hôtel Croisette, Cannes), in the presence of Paul Simonet, deputy for culture. Today, Daniel Calarco exhibits regularly in Nice, Cannes, Saint-Paul-de-Vence, Paris and online, continuing his unique romantic approach in the 21st century.
